Temporary Note, posted on the ring homepage the day before the move:

"Right now, It's probably only fair to warn you that my cafe_satan Webring membership, and by implication this ring, have been hijacked, apparently as an act of spite either by or on behalf of one Andrea Stalnecker, an Avon Saleslady based out of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. That sounds stranger every time I write it, but it's true. The whole twisted tale can be found in a post on my blog. The password has been changed on my account and the address changed, with the result that I no longer have control over that account.

Yes, I've written to Webring about this. So far, their response has been to lie to anybody listening in, deny that I've been locked out of that account, censor any posts telling a different story - and continue to leave me locked out. The upshot of this is that because of Webring's actions, while I certainly appreciate your application, I am unable to act on it at this time. The best I can do for you is point you in the direction of the Ringsurf version of this ring, suggest that you apply to that one for now, and tell you that under the circumstances, for applications coming in right now, I'll waive the rule about applying to one ring or another, but not both. This may well prove to be a moot point, in fact I strongly suspect that it will be, but we'll see.

Comment to any ringmasters running rings this ring belongs to: Please note that standards of total webring navigability have been applied to all sites associated with this one, considered as if they together formed one large site, with the result that the last link will not be bleeding hits off from your ring, the visitors never returning. There is a clear path leading back here."

With the move to a new provider, this issue is probably resolved, at least for this ring. Probably. One is always working with strangers when one works online, and strangers have often been known to let one down, but Mr.Huggins does have a very good reputation online. Let's just hope he lives up to it.
